I tried my RTA11TL's with one RDO198 and one SL-3000. Granted that RDO was not broken in but it did not sound well. Magic happened when I matched the tweeters.

"break in" ... what's the breakin period entail? Forgive my inexperience, but I can relate more with an internal combustion engine. I did order a pair of RDO's to replace the wore out SL3000's and was wondering what to expect.

They will sound "off" as in kind of hollow for the first 48 hours. You're pretty much good to go after that.

Humm, interesting. Well thanks very much. My inexperience would have had me thinking they where defective.

Well, the RDO198-1's are in and sounding great! If this is how they sound now, they can only get better after the break in period.

    Cheers, Barrie.
