Should be a good night, especially if you're Machida fan... ;)

Any predictions for the top two fights? I'll take Machida on the main event, and as much as I hate to say it, I think Hughes is a better fighter than Serra.

If Evans can hit Machida I think he'll pull it off, but that's only if can hit him no one else has been able to yet.

Hughes vs Serra, I hope Serra pounds Hughes' face in to the ring, that guy is such a ****, but I don't see it happening Hughes has got TON of experience and he's bet Serra main man Royce so that will probably be in the back of Serra's mind being a BJJ guy, but Serra has really heavy hands maybe he'll catch Hughes and then commence to pounding his face into the octagon.

i was hoping for machida to win. every fight i've seen evans win seemed to me came from a lucky punch. machida is a respectful guy and i foresaw him crying if he won. and he did. i like that. his heart is in this all the way.

Machida did what was expected, but even I was surprised how easy it was for him. That KO was brutal. I think there is only one LHW who has even a slightest chance to beat him (counting out lucky punches). It's not going to be Rampage, but it could be Rua.

Hughes vs Serra, IMO should have been a draw. Way too close to call and before the Serra takedown I had it going slightly for Hughes. After that takedown I felt it was a draw but had a bad feeling Hughes would be declared winner. Sure he was on top a lot of the fight but he really didn't do much.

Or perhaps Anderson Silva, if he wins the fight with Griffin in a few months and Rampage or Rua has had their shot at Lyoto. Think about it, the reigning, defending, undefeated LHW Champ VS the reigning, defending, pound for pound best in the world MW champ. Man that would be awsome, I could see Dana White jumping all over that, I'm getting excited just thinking about it. :D

Possibly but not likely. Besides they are good friends and probably don't even want to fight each other.

You don't think that Silva will get a shot at the LHW belt? that is if he keeps winning.

He might get a shot, but I don't think he is likely to beat Machida. He is excellent but I don't think he is that good. Now that it is Machida at LHW I don't think Silva has a lot of desire to move up. I might pick Silva against any other LHW at the moment with the exception of Machida and Rua.

I'm not trying to step on your toes, you seem to know a good bit about MMA and the UFC in general but to say that'' I just don't think that Silva is that good'' well, I just don't buy that. Besides its not like Silva didn't know that Machida was on his way up 205lb weight class when he started his run, they may be friends but at the end of the day its a business and when it comes down to it and when they both have a shot to be in one of the biggest fights in UFC history I think, I hope, that they can put that aside for 25 min and put on one hell of a fight, but its all speculation so who knows?

It's just my opinion, nothing else, that I don't think Silva is very likely to beat Machida. It could happen and we don't know unless they fight.

That would be the fight man. I would love to see those 2 go at it. Machida I believe would get the win here but not easy. He won the belt easy last night. He looked sharp as ever.

Hughes pulled out a very close fight, It could have gone either way.
