Bass from Audioquest Ruby

I today upgraded from a mid-range interconnect to a used Audioquest Ruby equipped with upgraded RCA clips ($30, Agon). The bass is much better and often sounds like a bass guitar with good amplification, but I wonder if it dominates other instruments. Has anyone encountered a CD-amp interconnect like the AQ Ruby that delivered too much bass?

You can never have to much bass. I've caught 13 bass on a good day with a purple plastic worm jigged from under a pier. I've never bout my worms from audiogon. Are the Ruby worms better?

    Effin with ya.

Is there a sub in the mix?

I did see some large mouth bass swimming from the speakers shortly after installing the Audioquest ICs. I just assumed it was the mushrooms, not the cables, causing that effect.

Anyway, there is no sub in the mix.

I guess the question is: Do Ruby ICs have a reputation for overemphasizing bass?

But the answer may simply be: The Rubies dish out noticable bass in my system. I must deal with it or buy new ICs.

If I played the bass, I might think these ICs were perfect.

I'm having the exact opposite problem, not enough bass when playing source direct without a sub. Im using using silver interconnects throughout. I'm going to experiment with some older IC's to decide if the lack of bass is a characteristic of ICs, speakers, or cdp.
