My SDA find

My first polks I bought in college were the Polk 4's. I didn't realize there were different types of 4's. After researching it looks like I have the 4.5's because it is ported on the bottom. The tweeters are black but there is a protective cover on the tweeter. I read the tweeter I have may be a soft dome. Is anyone familiar with this speaker. Does it have a peerless tweeter or something else. I alway liked this speaker. I used to pair it up with my NAD floor standing speakers which have a soft dome tweeter and they sounded great together. Are your Monitor 4's ported?
Mine has the port on the bottom as well. All the monitor 4's I've seen has the 1inch small tweeter . I haven't seen any with the Peerless. I'll post pics in a few minutes. -

You got a killer deal. That passive sub is quite rare I think.

Nice snag for sure, Leroy.
If they are TL's then you have them setup wrong. Dim drivers on the outside (the two).
If they are not the TL's, then they are set up properly.
DaveOnce again we meet at last. -

Dave
They're not even hooked up . I just put them there to get them out the middle of the floor. It'll be another week or two until I get the 4 frozen woofers I need from POLK. They're 2.3TL's btw -

Listened to it today but it doesn't put out alot of bass. A powered sub sounds alot better. -
