Micropro 1000 Sub responds to any remote

I contacted Polk Support with a problem about my Micropro 1000 responding to My Musical Fidelity A1 volume control, they said it was possible the two remotes shared code sets. However, tonight I had the same problem when I was changing tracks on my Marantz SA-8001 and the Micropro responded and changed volume. I quickly grabbed another remote to my Denon 3901 and hit play, and the sub changed volume again. It's like it intermittently will go into a mode for a few seconds where it will respond to ANY IR code. Anyone ever see this issue before?

I have this sub and never noticed the issue before. The sub is usually out of the IR range when I'm using my remote for other things.
I'll try to give it a shot tonight to see if it affects me as well. -
It happened to my Micropro 3000 with my previous preamp's remote. It didn't happen always, just randomly._________________________________________________

Interesting issue. I never had a sub with an IR port. I always had to walk over to the sub to adjust the volume if needed.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

Yep, it's only random, I can never re-create the issue when I want. But when it goes into that mode, it seems to respond to any code from any remote for a few seconds. -
I had the same problem with my Micropro 3000. My solution I just turned it sideways so the Ir was out of sight. It may not look as nice turned sideways but it still sounds great.

Looks like a good solution, or simply tape something (like a piece of electrical tape) over the IR receiver window on the sub. You don't need to adjust the level of the sub anyway, after it's calibrated into the system.Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies
