H/K 7300 heating up

This unit always ran hot before adding an Adcom 545. It has run warm, but never hot since then. Just purchased a Carver tfm-45 here in the FM and the H/K is running very hot connected to the Carver. Also, the Carver is getting warm and from what I've read it's a very cool running amp. I'm LOVING the sound of the Carver, but am stumped by what may be causing the heat issues. Any ideas? Should I be concerned?

if i remember correctly, as i haven't touched my 7300 chassis for awhile now, it still gets very hot even though i'm not using the amp section. i'm using it for the receiver section alone (audio & video) and am using my adcom 5802 to power my sda's.

Both my HK AVR's got hot. I have several Carver TFM's and they can get warm when under a load. You do not say how well ventilated the area around the amps are. If they are sitting on top of each other try putting more space between and make sure the sides are open.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t

I have decent clearance on both pieces. Probably about 6" on top and 4" on each side. Front is open...no door, etc. Back is partially open.
Your responses did cause me to think back and realize that my H/K was on the top shelf of a rack system and completely open when it was running cool. I've had it in the current location for about 5 months, but haven't really checked to see if was running hot recently. Probably notihing to worry about other than trying to get a little more ventilation.
Thanks for the replies.Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden
