Just wondered if anyone has listened to this reciever before. Perhaps one of the ICE club guys. This was Pioneer's flagship model in 2003

    I have Installed many 49's in it's hay day. It's one fine receiver that sounds amazing. I loved that piece. The quality is above most. The Copper chassis and gold back is a really nice touch. I really liked it and it was the very first to introduce MCACC which I spent countless hours playing with.

    I found it to have excellent power and filled many large theater rooms. I really liked B&W speakers mated with it. It was a very very nice combo. We did a ton of CDM series speakers with it. CDM9NT's where my favorite choice.

    Well, I just found VSX-49 TXi in like new condition, with original box, manual and remote, so I bought it. I should recieve it tomorrow. I am so excited!!!

    I know a lot of guys would say just get an sc-05 but here in Canada, I can't get one less than $1700 cnd.
