Even after a day, I still cannot believe it. I was on a conference call this morning and while sitting in my family room, I could hardly pay attention to the dialogue...just kept staring at those speakers asking myself..."I paid how much???"

Thanks for the comments everyone, it was a dream come true for me, and again, what may be junk for one man, may be another man's treasure....indeed it was.

A few days ago some guy on craigslist advertised a pair of LSi7s for $50. I would have had no problems about relieving him from them. Of course they were gone within hours.

Lol. That actually sounds good, but I was more looking for something under $400.

Ok everybody, here's the final outcome. After the crazy purchase per my original post, I have kept the LSi 25's, LSi C, and bought some used Lsi F/x's from a forum member (thanks again Jerry).

I sold my RT16 mains, CS350-LS center, RT12 surrounds, a PSW404 (from the original post purchase), and the Denon receiver (from the original post purchase).

After all was said and done...I actually made $150 bucks to upgrade to LSi. How do ya like them apples?

Now, you are making me feel bad for paying near retail for my LSis before.

When I bought my LSi25 and many other LSi before, there was no Polk Direct and I wasn't lucky enough to find a deal like you did. Congrats to you but I am having a remorse now...:(

No! Ethancf, don't get it wrong. It was just a way of expressing you got an awesome deal for the LSi so that I even feel bad about it. I actually don't feel bad about my LSis purchases. Don't worry. ;)

Wow. Great catch. Look at it this way, the guy wanted to get rid of them and figured out a price that would make him happy. You made him happy. Let's say that he priced it at $1000, who's to say if they would ever sell? I'm happy for him, and happy for you. It would be different if he had asked for $1000, and you convinced him it wasn't worth much and got him to com down on the price. He got the price he asked for, and you got a nice buy. Now go and enjoy the gear with a free conscience! Congrats, you lucky devil!

I once got a OUTRAGEOUSLY good deal from Tweeter. It probably had a hand in their demise, but, I did offer to spend more $$$ at the time. They said nah, it was just the way the orginal purchase was recorded in the system.

Yes it does...it has the effect of pissing me off everytime I have to twist up the end and try to fish it through the binding post and it keeps sticking out.

This is why I love Polk:

So the LSi25 speaker base had a bad scratch in it from day one, and I finally got around to purchasing a replacement. Even though it wasn't visible, it still bothered me. OCD I guess. The new one came in and was high gloss piano black like the speaker cabinet. The current speaker bases were the older black vinyl. Polk not only gave me a super low price of only twenty dollars for the replacement and the installation hardware, they also sent me a matching base for the right side at no charge. In an economy like this, they still do their customers great service and for that I'm am and will always be a life long customer. Unless a free set of Wilson's come along on Craigslist. ;)
