Well, if you insist Mr. President. The Tyler Acoustic's Taylos 7U's are also up for sale . $2,100.00 is the asking price and please do not low ball me on either one. Both are at a great price and both are great speakers.

Hmmm, selling the 1C's, and possibly the Tylers,,, I'm guessing newer Tylers? If you are keeping the anthem, then whatever it is, will need to be somewhat efficient. Tom,, you're not looking at horns, are you.:eek:JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

I think he is saving up for a real fancy straight jacket and helmet.
LM and I are going to take him by force. Leave him in a room with some of the newer cheap Klipsche speakers driven by a cheap Yamaha "Natural Sound" receiver playing nothing but 64br MP3's that will be chosen by how tiny and compressed they sound.
Hopefully after 19 days of this Clock Work Orange type treatment he will appreciate what he has.
Freak! Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

That does sound like torture! The thought of such a set up makes my body convulse in spasms as if someone were running their finger nails across a blackboard!

I am in Gastonia and will take them if still available.

????
Never heard of Gastonia refered to as the "the Gashouse"? West-west Charlotte?
I'm up near Lake Norman..I've heard them all.;):D -
Haven't heard all the nicknames. I've only been here since August and am being transferred again to the eastern part of the state. Of course selling a house now is next to impossible so I come home on the weekends.
-
Cool. Gastonia has been the butt of many jokes in these parts. No guff if you're a transplant.
Back on track...I've heard this set of 1C's on a few occasions and if you have the set-up and power to run them...you wil not have any regrets. My 1C's are bone stock and have about 200 wpc of Carver power, a piece of **** pre and an old Denon CDP.
Sounds good to me.
Tom is a stand up man. Buy with confidence.

Tom,, have you really thought this thru? I noticed your Tylers are for sale as well. Russ,, I think that you need to drop in and check up on Tom,,,hormones?? It's a well known fact that males can experience "sympathetic" pain/emotion/feelings during a spouses pregnency,,,especially during this tri-mester. I think that a house call is in order.;)JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Guys.........Fellas, I'm ok. Nothing to worry about here. Just wanting to move on in my audio journey is'all. More on that later [different thread].
The Polk Audio SDA1C's have been sold and congratulations go out to Steve! He is a long time Polk forum member who lovingly gave his son a set of 2B's. In order to fill the void of not having any SDA's in the house, he went ahead and purchased the 1C's from your truly. I wish him many happy years of bliss with these speakers. Again...Congrat's go out to our fellow Polkie, Steve. BTW, it was a pleasure meeting you and good luck with the "Mother's Day" present thing .
The Tyler's are still up for grabs. First come, first serve. Thanks again for looking.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -
Tom- it was really good to meet a fellow polkie. I have the 1-C's roughly set- up and have played a little Jeff Beck and Joe Bonnamosa though them and all I can say is WOW!!! Even with my Yamaha DSP-A1 they sound amazing. Can't wait to get decent power and source to them. Speakers look great and more importantly sound great.
Tried the Mothers Day gift idea on the wife and judging from the look I got I will have to say that is a no go.
Anyway back to the music and thanks again, it was a pleasure meeting you and look forward to maybe getting together with some of you in the area sometime to listen to other systems.
