My bad, didn't realize the receptacles for 15 and 20 amps service were not compatible. Guess you better call an electrician. Although I've known many Adcom owners and none has ever mentioned a special plug or having to have a house rewired to run them.
It's always best to follow the manufacturer vs. an internet forum. Because I've never used, owned or been around Adcom products so I couldn't possibly know what I'm talking about.
Good luck

If you read the owners manual it states:
The AC cord provides power to operate all the GFA-
7805/7807’s circuits. Its plug can be connected to a
standard wall outlet provided the outlet supplies a voltage
compatible with the power requirements printed on the
rear panel of the GFA-7805/7807.
The voltage necessary is 120V....so it seems a regular wall outlet will suffice.
So it seems there is some confusion on Adcom's part as it clearly states a standard wall outlet can be used.
More info from the owners manual:
The GFA-7805 and GFA-7807 are very high power amplifiers
and as such must be directly connected to the wall outlet
or an appropriate surge protector or AC line conditioner."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Heiney your right. It seems confusing. I just sent adcom an email asking about what we have just disgusted.
Truly though everyone should look into a power surge protected circuit breaker box.
From what i am told they are not that expensive and they will protect the whole house at the source of the power.
Then i found these

I seem to have an issue once I have something in my head, and right now that is making sure everything is powered and protected properly, I cant stop till I have everything in order.

Rocco, I agree a dedicated circuit is always better, but it's not necessary. Adcom should get you straightened out and on the right path. Surge protectors and line conditioners will work as well. With a high power multi-channel amps careful choosing is required to get optimal results in all listening situations. Whole house surge protection is a great idea as well.

Yah, Rocco is not a popular name. The only ones i know are me and my cousin.
Does anyone have any experience with the PS Audio products. They seem built proof.
I watched a few videos on them last night. The Power Plant Premier Acutally stores power and can kick out up to 50amps in a high demand situation.....i think someone earlier said something about that...hmmmMan Cave: 7.1

PS Audio stuff is built and designed very, very well. No worries there Rocco. I'm hoping we can start putting together my brothers system this weekend. He just moved into a new house and there are lots of things to do before getting the system up and running. he will have an electrician there this week running dedicated lines, etc and getting the listening room ready for the gear.
I'll comment in here once we start using and setting up the power plant premier he has."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. I so miss those amps.......................................:(
I used a Shunyata with that pair of tubed BAT's, easily passes 20 amps I also used it with a huge BAT sand amp the VK-500 and it never skipped a beat, I did try and use the PS Audio UPC-200 with the VK-500 but no good, the sound stage was limited and collapsed back onto itself as that product cannot handle the large current draw. The UPC though does a great job with the rack gear where I use two of them.

That is a really sweet looking power re-conditioner. -

Well, I've had my ears on them twice for short periods. They are still at our friend Rob's house. They are sweet amps, that's for sure!!! And very delicious to look at!!
I have been looking at the UPC-200 for the 2ch rig. It should suffice for my needs."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience.
