So, last night I was watching a movie. Sub was working great, no issues.

Wake up this morning and go to watch a movie, and I can't get it to turn on. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, tried changing the volume to see if it would react...no go.

The whole living room is hooked up to 1 breaker, so the plug shouldn't be an issue, but i'll try a different plug.

    Hello,
Is the LED illuminated on the back? I think those subs have an AC fuse that's part of the power plug socket. If you take out the IEC AC power cord and look at the socket, there should be a small door that drops down and has the AC fuse.
Hopefully a new fuse will get you going.
    Cheers, Jed

There is no light on the back...Does anyone know the standard warranty on Polk subs? I bought this last year, and I have all the paperwork stashed somewhere.

Left the sub unplugged for around 15 minutes, then tried turning it back on. No lights, no sounds or anything. Tried switching from "Auto" to "On", no lights or sounds.

Should be under warranty if you bought it last year. Unless you buy used or refurb or from unauthorized sellers, I think Standard Warranty is 3 years for most subs. Some have 5 years though.

    Is Frys an authorized seller?

YES! Absolutely! Find your paperwork and contact Polk to get a replacement or technical support over the phone.

So, I switched out the cable for a standard computer power cable, and it worked.

Switched back in the original cable, and it worked again.

Out of curiosity, would pushing the sub pretty hard cause it to auto-shut off?

So, the sub keeps shutting off by itself. I have to unplug it for 30 minutes or so each time before it'll come back on.

Is this an issue of bad power? I've been pushing it harder than normal lately, but the last time it shut off I had the volume down low enough that I could hardly hear it.
