When I play a cd in my cd player I get a load snapping noise during play back.
This only happens a couple times during a song. I have tried about ten different cds and all do the same thing. The cds work ok in a portable player.
Any suggestions.

Should've read your post more closely...not sure what that is. Is that a single disc player?

Time for a new CD player. JVC isn't known for quality, try aiming a bit higher if your funds permit it.

    x2

JVC has lost my business. I've got a JVC XVR-N50 DVD player that I was using for a couple years...it was a decent middle of the road unit. I think it was around 300 bucks new. It crapped out 6 months ago. It stopped reading DVD's and only plays CD's now. The analog outs stopped working too, only the digital outs work. Sometimes it takes the disc tray about 45 seconds to open after pressing the open/close button. Needless to say, it's been replaced with a much better player.

Like I said, I won't be buying anymore JVC products in the future. For 300 bucks, I'd have thought I'd get a little bit more life out of it.
