No, Wow, very wrong (according to 99.9% of Polkies ... the other 0.1% were hopelessly drunk at the time of their response)!

Perhaps the cheapest, and most readily available decent cables (many consider these equal to Monster in quality):

Better, and easy ordering over the internet (vastly superior to Monster):

Possibly the best quality you'll ever find under $100 per pair for IC cables (if you mention "Monster" in his presence, he turns green and becomes "very angry". You won't like him when he's angry:

After that, the sky's the limit, but you should try to keep some synergy in your system (you wouldn't put racing tires on a Toyota Yaris, would you?).
    hey, thanks.

    i ordered 10 cable from http://www.monoprice.com/home/index.asp

they arrived in 24 hours. amazing.

    thanks

It's unfortunate when folks waste other folks time with meaningless posts. I guess he'll find out soon enough how unfortunate when his stuff doesn't sell.

It may not be meaningless to him. But, you know, you should just go with the paranoid-angsty-intolerance thing. It does, after all, weed out the weak and thin-skinned of the new users on the forum.

Quad, it's sometimes very informative to click on a user's name, click on the link that says, "Find all posts by ****", then read a sampling of that user's posts. Then make your own informed opinion.

Woweu2006 make one particular post in the "For Sale" thread that was very enlightening:

Woweu2006 was attempting to sell a pair of R50's.
A pair for $199 PLUS shipping.
They are nice speakers, to be sure, especially for folks on a budget (such as myself; I'm using them for fronts until I hit the lottery).
But that is not, to be quite frank, a particularly good deal.
That may be an adequate deal on Craigslist or Ebay, but Club Polk is not Craigslist or Ebay. There is a difference; if you hang around a while, it will become readily apparent what that difference is.

Woweu2006's response to a couple of comments regarding his "deal" ?

In my opinion, that "attitude" is the same as , "Well, okay, your sister was passed out at the party when I nailed her, but ...... well, I wanted some, and she didn't say 'No", so ..... what's the problem ?".

Perfect for Craigslist. Perfect for Ebay. Not here.
    Just my opinion.

So, if the "old farts" on here ever develop the touchy-feely, play nice type of behavior that tolerates this type of attitude, it would be a loss for us noobs.
They're already being too nice as it is, IMO

Some folks on here need their arses kicked (and not me this time).

He didn't when I posted that. He does now. Either way, he followed the rules, and it utterly escapes me how this in any way hurts you or anyone else. I fail to see why so many people seem to have such great difficulty just being civil to one another. Also, welcome to the list.

May I suggest to you that you not post about things that utterly escape you.
I fail to see why so many people seem to have such great difficulty just being civil to one another.

Just as long as that doesn't apply to you, eh!?!

Awe, did you get your feelings hurt? Being a man has certain responsibilities. One involves being able to admit when you're wrong and apologize for your mistake. After you get your foot out of your mouth, try working on that.

I went back and refreshed, beginning at post 1. This whole thread smells. I've never bought 10 cables at a clip. Always onesees or twosees. The prices you pay at monoprice and other places are beyond good if you are used to Best Buy or Radio Shack cable prices. If I didn't know better, I could possibly get duped into paying much more than monoprice on eBay.....

By the way, I've got a 6ft, brand new in original packaging, HDMI cable. 24K gold plated connectors, 4 screened OFC stranded conductors w/foam PE insulation layers, aluminum foil wrapped around each conductor pair w/triple shielding (not one, not two layers inferior cables have). All yours for $40 & $15 S&H!!!!! This is not a typo. $55 total & let me feel the pain for practically giving these babies away. Why spend hundreds for your 6' HDMI cable needs??????

These cables are made in New York. Everybody knows New Yorkers makes great stuff!!!!!
