You can connect your HDMI inputs to the projector with one of these. The projector does, however, have two inputs which can be used as component and/or computer connections.

When you say 500 hours on the lamp you mean there are 500 hours out of 200 left correct?

The installed projector lamp has well over 1500 hours left on it and the other lamp included has over 1000 hours left on it as well. Even if you played a full-length movie every night for two years, you'd still have around a year left of doing so!

Are there any coloration problems (dead pixels, etc.) other than the "black problem"?

There aren't any dead pixels or any out of the ordinary issues on the projector.:)
