Bump for a great 720p PJ. Excellent performer as these were once priced at 6k. Cant go wrong with that, plenty bright @ 1000 lumens so should light up 100 inch screen easy.

    GL with the sale DK.

ISF certification is also room and screen dependent... but it was done to your room so that's a start. Was a great projo for it's day! I don't ever remember it being 6k but 3k I remember.

Sorry ,too early in the morning. Yes I are implying maybe youre going for VW10 or JVC. Something for you to think about, the JVC RS10 is just a tad bit more coin and will throw the better picture. Sony is slightly dim, and may seem flat on your screen at that size. Also the JVC throws reference blacks with no iris. It does have adjustable iris that allows you to control light to the screen. If the VW10 is less than 3k go for it, if not consider the RS10. Not here to knock your future purchase, only a humble suggestion. GL

Dk, the projector market is a tad bit small here, I would recommend trying Ebay or AVS. Just a suggestion. GL with sale.

    How old is the projector?

    Is there any warrant left?

    Are there hdmi inputs?

When you say 500 hours on the lamp you mean there are 500 hours out of 200 left correct?

Are there any coloration problems (dead pixels, etc.) other than the "black problem"?

    Thank you!

Here's a link to the Manual from the Sony website:
    http://www.docs.sony.com/release/VPLVW10HT.PDF

Typically when somebody says there are 500 hours on a lamp, that means that its been used for 500 hours.
