I am going from a 3.1 to a 2.1 for the living room.
You can see my setup in my sig.
Which amp would pair the best with my dynaudio audience 70's????? They are both right around $600..
Thanks in advance
Ryan

I have experience with both and Dynaudio speakers.

Both amps are incredible. I can't give a edge to either as they both are amazing sounding with Dynaudio speakers especially the ones you have.

Since you already own Rotel , I suggest going with the RB1080. It's an exact sonic signature of the mighty RMB1095 which I have owned. Killer dynamics and control over bass. But all the above can be said abot B&K. They are no back seat of **** end to anyone in there price class.

The 1080 is a very neutral sounding amplifier; and I also found it weak at low level listening. You really need to wick it up a bit to get it to really sing. However at more moderate levels it really comes alive and let’s the speakers work their magic.

The 1080 was a tad too neutral for; however many love it for being neutral so it is really a case of preference. If you like neutral amps it’s a good buy. Haven’t tried a B&K so I cannot offer a comparison.

    lakesailor,
    What amp do you prefer?
Also what kind of speakers are you driving with it?
    Thanks

A classic case of Analysis Paralysis :D Yep there are a TON of choices out there. So many amps, so little time.

It will be interesting to see what you go with.

I've been running Dyns with B&K, and it's a nice mix. I've run few amps on them, including some tubes, it's the best so far overall. It's also the cheapest :-) As a single step up, I'd be looking for something quicker but with some good current and control. McCormack, Belles, Marsh, Bryston, & Odyssey can often be found used under 1K. Everyone raves about the Simaudio and Plinius synergy with the Dyns, but for my little standmount 140's, I'll pass. Speaking of pass, Pass Labs would be another good couple of steps up. . . see how this goes!

SKsolutions, what b&k model are you running with the dyns? Plinius is what I heard was a great match.. I figure I should just wait till I can afford what I want instead of buying another amp that I will want to upgrade in 2 months.
Thats where im at now with the emotiva xpa-3
