What does the LSi15's butt look like?
Im not usually that forward trying to get a glimpse of someone's a$$, usually I sneak a glance as they pass by. anyhow, I prepping for my ordering a pair of LSi15s and wanted to make sure I have all the necessary wiring for the job.
My LSi 25s have two sets of binding posts as well as 3 analog connections for interconnects for the powered subwoofer (LFE IN, Line level in, and line level out). I use custom Y splitter Signal cable silver resolution interconnects for the Line level in spot on these.
Looking at the LSi15 manual online I noted there was no such mention of analog connections as I mentioned for the 25s, likely because it is a passive sub woofer rather than a powered one (?). I figured this to be the case as the LSi7s,9s and 15s share the same manual.
So am I correct in assuming I will only need speaker wire for the 15s and NO analog interconnects will be necessary???
Thanks ahead of time.

Good luck with your LSi15's. They are excellent speakers for the price in my opinion. What amplifier will you be using for them?
Hi xcapri,
Ill be using the LSi15s as surround speakers in a 5.1 setup and will be powering them with a Rotel 1085 amp (5 channel, Class D amp <ICE modules>, 100 watts @ 8 ohms, 180-200 wats? @ 4 ohms). My LSi 25s are powered seperately by a Rotel 1080 (200 watts @ 8 ohms, 350?? watts x 4 ohms?).
Right now my Rotel 1085 is only powering a single LSiC, so I have 4 channels free. Im thinking of seeing if bi-wiring them will benefit them them any since I do have the extra channels availble.
Since they are being used for surround duty they may not see a huge amount of action to test whether bi-wiring has any benefit so I will probably hook them up as temporary fronts bi-wired and single wired .... get my wife and I listening and see if there is any diference.
Check out the link to "my Home Theater Rig" in my OP signature to see pics of my rig. Only my PS3 is missing since I havent updated the pics.

Thanks CaligulaPolk for the compliment!
Its still got a way to go ... now if I can only find $15,000 between my couch cushions I'd have it where I want it to be
Good luck with you own HT and Music journey!

You are putting together a fairly nice rig with some of Polk's best, always enjoyed the 15's. Since your present dream system is in the 15k range you should begin to think about your moves as you head down your path.
Now the best advice is to buy once and be done as you save money in the big picture, however, this is rarely the case for folks and besides all the upgrading and changing can be fun. Just buy the best you can based on your research and your ears. They will tell you when to stop, what is good and what is not.
You would benefit from some quality connects and speaker cables, you do not mention any, I might suggest Signal Cable as an excellent choice for lower cost, many here have used them with the gear you have, if you are looking for something a bit more Esoteric that will take you deep into things the MIT Shotgun or CVT cabling is something to look at.

Thanks for the advice ReelTrouble!
I've already probably put 15k into the rig so far (may not show but I have ). I am indeed planning several moves ahead at this time, although I will be upgrading (replacing) a few things that I already own so I will be doing that 'round about' way of arriving at my vision.
My next shorter term 'moves' are the LSi 15s for surrounds and to purchase a Oppo BD 83Bluray Player (upon release). Than I plan to replace my Denon 2807 with the new Rotel 1570 pre/pro. After that Im planning on replacing my Velodyne DPS 12 with either a pair of HSU U-15 subs (wireless) or a single SVS Ultra-13. This is of course a two-2.5 year plan ... the LSi15 right away but the others will funnel in slowly as the funds are available.
After that my plan is a little hazy ... ? but since the cash flow isnt coming in at the speed of a tsunami I have time with it all. Visions of dedicated SACD/CD players are out there somewhere.
I'm actually using Signal Cable Ultra speaker cables for my LSi 25s upfront and my LSiC and using Signal Cable silver resolution interconnects on the LSi 25s. Since the LSi 15s will be used for surround duty I dont think Ill invest in a 30 foot Signal Cable Ultra speaker wire which would surely break my bank!
Thanks again.
