PSW111 has blown on me I think

Hi there
I am new to this forum - as I am new to the world of surround sound. I purchased a Polk speaker set along with the PSW111. I only got my chance to assemble my pieces with my Pioneer 1018 AVR this Easter weekend. During my assembly I found that there was no output what so ever from the sub.
I then dismantled my wires to and from the sub (except the power cable) and tapped the connections in the back to get some indication of whether the sub was blown or not. And I got no response from my tapping.
Are there any other tests I can do to confirm that my SW has busted on me? Also because I have this sub on limited warranty (bought this only this past feb) what are my options to getting this fixed/replaced? I bought this from Futureshop here in Toronto, ON.
Many thanks

Try getting ahold of polk cs its some of the best around they will be happy to help you out. Also one thing you might want to check is to make sure the sub is set to on in the avr. Also how do you have everything hooked up what cable to where and so on. Hopefully one of us can help you get this figured out. Oh and welcome to CP.
Best regards

hello
thanks for the quick responses.
I meddled with all the different wire types - except for speaker wires. But it seems that the sub itself seems to have died on me. If I try to tap in the back of my sub connection I get no response. Are there anymore tests I can potentially do to confirm this?
Thanks -
FS has a good return policy, don't waiste your time and return it and let them fiddle with it... at the same time, get them to check it out while you are there and see how they connect it.
