Hey folks, thanks for all the kind words and advice. I don't want to sound to bleak, but times are tight and money is short. Trying to raise two kids on one income these days is futile. I lucked into these speakers and do enjoy the sound that they produce even from a small amp, but this hobby can be trying when money is tight and there is no room in my future for a better amp (kids come first). I should just enjoy them with the watts i have, but these speaker beg for more and i don't want to keep wasting money on tweeters and soon these woofers won't take the abuse from a cheap amp. My thought was to sell these to create income to buy a home theater setup (kids love movie, not my music lol) I guess it's just a thought...

    Peace

I hear you man, I have 3 kids, and make just over minimum wage, not to mention a wife that takes care of said kids. It is tuff, but it's worth it. Just keep your eyes open, you will find a deal. A local guy on craigs list was selling a pair of mon. 7 for 45, a carver m200t(I think that's what is was) for 40, a dynaco amp for 50, and a few more goodies whole pakage could have been had for 200 ( I was a little late on it).

Keep you chin up. I myself am still looking for a steal on an amp to go with my B&K pre.

    Good luck and happy hunting,
    dude

    mooch,

    1. I have many skills.

    2. I know where a great deal of gear is located.

    3. I have acquired (at no small cost) the membership vacation calender.

    4. I know who has vicious guard dogs.

As a matter of fact, a trip to the Islands would be nice as one member is headed to Sin City.

Desperate times call for innovation and appropriation. Hang in there.

Lol, you crack me up Reeltrouble...

No need to feed the guard dogs a steak yet. I will hang in there and with the help of some new found friends here, i think my future with these Polks will be long and enjoyed.

I really didn't know that there is still some people in this world that still have a heart.

You people know the meaning of Karma, so i will offer up anything i can for anybody who is dropping by my way in Pa.

    Peace

Excellent Steve. This is what I love about CP. The advice and guidance I have received is worth more than things/stuff.

There are days I miss my M12s. They are just dead sexy IMO.
