No problems with big speakers in the living room here. Dear wife was saddened when I got into speakers with no large horizontal surfaces; she couldn't claim territory on them with doilies and crystal.Salk SoundScape 8's * Audio Research Reference 3 * Bottlehead Eros Phono * Park's Audio Budgie SUT * Krell KSA-250 * Harmonic Technology Pro 9+ * Signature Series Sonore Music Server w/Deux PS * Roon * Gustard R26 DAC / Singxer SU-6 DDC * Heavy Plinth Lenco L75 Idler Drive * AA MG-1 Linear Air Bearing Arm * AT33PTG/II & Denon 103R * Richard Gray 600S * NHT B-12d subs * GIK Acoustic Treatments * Sennheiser HD650 *

I guess I'm fortunate. I have 2 sets of SDA 1Cs a pair of Monitor 5JRs, B&K AVR 305s as my AV system. When we watch movies I have a hard time conentrating on the plot because I am sitting there thinking..........how lucky am I.........beautiful system, beautiful wife.........life is good!

Except for the obvious photoshop smoothing, that's a great picture.
I have a similar one with Soundlab speakers, but posting it would definitely get me banned."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -

i've never had a thing for big speaks, but the only hardware my wife has neg'd on was the oval 9's. she didn't really oppose them, but said something about them looking like they belonged outside the house. i think it might have to do with possibly making the mistake of showing her the old lavender version before buying them.
i guess the real test will hit when we get into a house that permanent acoustic treatments will make sense for. maybe, i'll have to try to find some lavender ones.
