F*ck you Mark. I hate my life ever since I've been here. I sadly agree, much to my dismay.

I used to be happy with my late 80's JVC receiver and a pair of Infinity's. Now I am like a crack head. I just want a little more... I am almost there... Just _____ is needed to be so close... I'll stop when... I am going a new direction... I haven't even had tubes yet. I am scared. Well I am glad that there has been a rash of stupidity here. I am listening to music more, and even have caught a few movies since the sealed subs are in:)
    Take care.

    Thanks

x2 on what Ben said. I've barely gotten started on my audio journey yet, but I'm already well aware that I'm never really going to reach the end of it. I'll probably eventually get to a point where I'm happy with it, but there's always going to be something else.

It wasn't even a year ago that my old Optimus AVR started acting up some and I decided it was time for a new one. So I got my Onkyo 606 and I thought that was going to be the end all purchase...I'd never need to upgrade it again. Maybe get some new speakers eventually...but that'd be it.

HAHAHAHA!!! How wrong I was...Now my 606 is worth it's weight in door stops and I can't wait to upgrade it, my speaker budget has went from around 500 to a bajillion and I can't wait to get my 2 ch. rig going. My wallet is going to absolutely hate me this year...I might as well throw it away, it's not like there will ever be anything in it.:p

    Thanks Club Polk.:D

Russ is very excited about coming down again. I am hoping we can run a circuit down here with multiple stops. Jerry is very excited about trying a tubed pre in his system. Vast improvements have been made since your last visit. Can't wait to get together again.

It helped me go from an early 90's Kenwood/Yamaha rig and an Infinity/Onkyo home theater to a couple of rigs that would impress most.

Thanks to the knowledgeable and helpful members here, it started out with buying better gear, then tweaking the gear, and now making/designing my own. Who knows what's next.

I learned here that there was an alternative to BOSE. I have come a long way.

Now if we can only do that for the entire planet, we would have accomplished something significant :D
