    A couple you might like:

    1. The Doors Original Soundtrack Recording. I think its out of print. Besides being the soundtrack of the movie, this 90s remaster of many of their best known tunes bring out a level of detail that is not found in their regular material. Doing so highlight's Jim Morrison's brilliance in lyrics and the synergy of the band's overall delivery. The album also has some good Van Morrison and Velvet Underground tunes.

    A "surprise" cut for me is Carmina Burana performed by the Atlanta Symphony. Very well done. I hold the humble opinion that every system owner should have a recording of this 12th century song somewhere in their stash. Haunting would describe it and, played properly, it will blow any accumulated dust off of your drivers.

    2. Something by George Winston. These are piano solos. Of his many CDs, he has a series named after the seasons. IMO "Autum" is the best. The timbre of the delivery will bring out the most your speakers have to offer in terms of sound reproduction capabilities. This is good music to read by or maybe surf the web. You will find yourself stopping what you are doing and listening to a certain passage. Maybe hitting the rewind button to check out the passage again.

    Yes it was, my son played the cello in school.

    I have listened to it a few times now. put it on kick back and do a little reading. Allison K get's involved in all sort's of music. i give her an A+ for this.
