    Wow! What a system! DROOL!

But how does it sound with the setup in a corner? I've heard that positioning speakers in corners like that really messes with the sound quality.

    Yes? No? Do tell!

I get a great sound with the corner position, the speakers are more
in front not really in the corner.

Linn makes some great stuff. I really need to get in front of an aktiv
system. So many of their better speakers are mean to go aktiv to
sound their best. But of course, you do have to get used to all
    those funky product line names.

Love Linn, all there products are top notch. Nice system man but I like the vaccum job more. You would make my wife proud. Now to completely finish that pic off, figure out how to manage the wires in the middle a little better bro.

I would love to listen to it.

My AV5140s can go Aktiv, they say in Aktiv mode they are incredible:D
In Aktiv mode, there's 3 Linn amps on each speaker,,600watts per speaker.
200watt per each driver:cool:But way too rich for my Blood.
My Odyssey Mono-Blocs are pushing about 560watts into 4ohms.

Very nice looking system! Would be awesome to hear them!

Just curious where you got that 560 watt 4 ohm rating on those amps?

    The Extreme Mono's are about 250 to 300watts @ 8ohms:confused:

    http://www.odysseyaudio.com/products-stratos-mono.html

I think Klaus has only stated them to be right at 200 or so --

What makes the Monos such power houses is the amount of current they dish out ---

    They are not slackers.

I think they are around 400 or so at 4 ohms...

I stand corrected, it states 200+, so 400 into 4ohms sounds more
like it.Your right the 180,000uf and current amount gives the Monos
a great sense of Power with Finesse. What ohms are your Super Towers?

As I recall the 7u's were 4 ohm -- and Im pretty sure with double the drivers, the Supers go back to 8 ohms -- but with more power handling...

The Monos powered both with absolute ease ---

I've sometimes contemplating getting more Monos just to start a stack! HA! But I figured that would come with the surround setup --- Stereo Stratos per pair of extra speakers - would be a nice stack indeed, and also a pipe dream as I am way to cheap to invest that kind of dough in a HT system haha -- maybe a receiver, a nice one ;)

    Anyways, way off topic --

    What are the Linn speakers?

Also ---- what other gear are you using? Preamp with the stratos?

The Linn are 4 ohms, and be Tri-amp or Tri-wired.You cant see from the Front
but they have a 8in driver in th rear. Im using a Balance Primare Pre-30 pre-amp
and a Kavent CD-1031 cd player. Im running balanced AQ Columbia cable from the Pre
to the Mono-blocs and Harmonic Tech Pro-Silway mkIII from cd player to Pre.

I thinking that the Linn speakers will really sing if I bi-amp them.

I respect a guy who knows how to work a vacuum. Are those kevlar woofers? I like the slender towers, but how does the bass compare with your old RTis?

Actually there's more bass, each Linn speaker has a 8in bass driver in the
    rear.The 5140 are a 3way design,that can be Tri-amp/Tri-wired.
Because they are 4ohms you have to put a serious amp on them:cool:
