over my head :)

I am new to Polk and wanted to get in over my head so I bought the LSi15s.

I will be hooking them up to a Yamaha RX-V663 as a "pre-amp" with a Parasound AMP (4ohm) for just my LSi15 front set. I will hopefully be adding a center channel and backs soon. Any comment on the back or center speakers - do they have to be LSi or are there other alternative matches? I also want to see how the bass is with the two 8in woofers in the LSi15 but I may also be adding a sub. I cannot wait to hear these speakers. Thanks for any comments.

I would definately go LSi for the center. I'm happy with my LSiC, but others might recommend a single LSi7 or 9.

For surrounds I always thought it didn't matter too much...until I moved my 7's to surround duty. If you listen to concert DVD's in multi-channel it makes a big difference. For movies, I can't say the improvement over the Fxi A3 is huge.

Bottom line for me is that I have put my system together little by little so I've had various fronts, surrounds, etc., and I am VERY happy with my system now.

Almost forgot. For me, the bass with the LSi 15 was not enough for movies. I currently use my 15's in a music only system, so I am obviously content with the bass for music.

    Hope this helps.

I thought I would start with the Parasound 275 Clasic (two channel) and when I upgrade I can always use it to power somthing else - like subs. I think it will do the job.
