Anybody got some good links and/or recipes for home-made AC cables? I have always wanted some custom lenth power cables for my system, to get rid of clutter. Where can I find IEC's, cable, plugs that are good but crazy expensive...

VH Audio will be able to hook you up with whatever your price range (up to $1000 per meter ). The have raw cables, connectors, shrinks, etc.
FYI: I have made my own power cord before, and I have found that a lot of the DIY power cables are rather stiff; more so than my liking. -

Opps, I meant NOT crazy expensive. You know, a giant killer home-brew cable, on the cheap.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2

I knew from your own words.."I'm cheap" what you meant, that's why I put up Mouser. I expect they sell hospital grade connectors that won't cost you $40+ each."SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

Hospital grade is intended for hospitals. Sure, you can expect better quality control, but they're meant to have corrosion resistance, not necessarily electrical resistance.

I have had good experience with Analysis Plus SC and if you find the right supplier, you can order how ever many feet you want. Then just choose the termination of choice and whalla. Not too terribly expensive with a good end result as to what hits your ears.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

I sold the PS Audio pc after I made the various VH Audio pc. I like the ability to make custom lengths and like the way they sound. Their website has good descriptions on how to make them. I use the Furutech ends and the VH Audio wire. Very well made and easy to use and sounds very clean and clear.Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server
