Hey, it was good and without all the awards, I probably never would have watched it. I'm thankful for that. It just was "one of" the best pictures of last year and not my favorite...but, that's all right if it's yours.

I'm back and I have to agree. Although 'contrived' and not very believable; this is not a bad film. Although, as a novel it would've been panned because of that.
But it might not be for everyone as a couple of you note above. I must admit that I was drawn into it in any case. Best Picture...danger boy is right, this wasn't the best year ever (an understatement).
