Alright, I'm going to gauge the interest here, but not expecting much. This is a Playstation 3 60 GB model, which is definitely the most sought after. The reasons: 1) this one plays PS1 and PS2 games through backwards compatible hardware (old 80 GB does it through software and is supposedly not as good); 2) it plays SACD (and very well at that); 3) supposedly has the most reliable hardware set of all the models produced.
I"m the second owner, having purchased it on craigslist about 15 months ago. Now the issues. The first owner did not take care when moving or touching the unit, and, as a result, there are a fair amount of scratches in the gloss finish. There are a multitude of swirl and little scratch marks as the pictures show. However, PS3's are notorious for not photographing well. The flash exaggerates some of the marks. When the unit sits flat, as I used it, and in a cabinet/rack, the cosmetics are not destracting FWIW.
Additionally, the controller looks to have the left analog stick gnawed on by a dog/puppy. There are 3 small "gnaw" marks, but the functionality of the controller is not affected.
This package includes the PS3 console, one controller, Bluetooth remote, USB fan (attaches to front), Motorstorm game, power cable, controller USB cable, and HDMI cable. I don't have the original box, but I will double box very well and ship insured.
I don't know the going rate, but Ebay ones seem to be $300-$325 plus shipping. Given the cosmetic issues, which are negligible in a cabinet/rack, I'm looking for
$255 plus shipping
PM with any questions.

The white dots on the pictures are small specks of dust that the flash accentuates.

Great machine. But I haven't had any problems with my PS3 80gig? None!
These units are pretty reliable, more than most blu-rays.
The Backward compatibility is the real selling point here. Man are there a ton of games for the PS2 or what??Currently orbiting Bowie's Blackstar.!

GEBBY,
You have a PM. The PS3 turns on but reads no disks, period.

Mine just started doing this, worked flawlessly one day, the next wouldn't read any discs. I sent it back for warranty replacement.
It is probably dust on the reader. A disc cleaner might take care of it, or a shot of compressed keyboard air. If not, it is a $160 out of warranty repair.

Thanks for the heads up...
The PS3 is actually fine, it was just not set-up for "autoplay" or HDMi that the wife was use to, so she was getting frustrated with getting it to work. I'm not at home currently to play with it. -
