SurroundBar 360 Hook Up

I recently purchased the SurroundBar 360 and I'm confused as how to hook up everything to it and get the audio output from each device through to the SurroundBar 360. I have the following:

Comcast HD DVR
XBox 360
Nintendo Wii
Toshiba 1080p 40" HDTV

I have attached an image of the connectors on the back of my TV. How do I hook up each device without losing the HD Connectivity since I know there is only ONE HDMI port on the back of the SurroundBar 360 DVD system.

Thanks!

    Hello,
Thanks for posting. The best approach with any of those devices is to separate the HD video connections from the digital audio connections. Use HDMI cables to go from each of the HD devices, you have, directly to the television. Then using Toslink digital optical cables, go from each device's digital audio outputs to corresponding digital audio inputs on the SurroundBar 360 console. Two separate paths, the HD video going directly to the TV and digital audio going to Polk console.

Isn't there only one digital audio input on the SurroundBar 360 console? How do I connect 3 separate digital audio inputs?

Instead, would it be possible just to have one digital audio output from the TV itself directly to the SurroundBar 360 console?

    Hello,
There are three digital audio inputs on the SB360, one for "CBL/SAT" one for "AUX1" and "TV". These use a digital fiber optical cable called a Toslink cable, one is included with the SB360 and most digital devices will include one also. The problem with running the digital audio into the TV and then from the TV to the SB360 is that there could be some changes done by the TV's audio circuitry that could affect the sound results from the SB360. In my opinion it is best to connect a digital audio, from each device, into the SB360.

That seems like a good solution. However, will an HDMI switcher work as well such as this one?

If not, I will just go with using the digital audio outputs from each device into the back of the DVD console.
