Has anyone tried using this to stream over a WiFi network?
I'm having issues with it running on my desktop (which has a wired connection to my router) and streaming from my PS3 (using a wireless connection with the same router).
I can't get my PS3 to see it and I can't get the PS3 Media Server to see my PS3. However, TVersity works just fine using the same setup.
Any suggestions?

Is it possible to run this without disable windows firewall? The only time I can get the server to see the PS3 is if the firewall is disabled. Even if I "allow" the media server. Tversity runs without the need to disable.

Hmmm just add the proggy in the windows firewall exception list. That should do the trick.
Click start (windows button in Vista)---> Control Panel----> Windows Firewall

anyone else having problems with DVD covers?
I have my DVDs as one large VOB for each movie. So a given file name might be F:\Black Hawk Down.vob
No problems playing the movie, but I am trying to get the cover to show up as the icon on the PS3 instad of that little stock "video" icon. I have tried naming the file with the cover:
F:\Black Hawk Down.vob.jpg
I have also tried
F:\Black Hawk Down.vob.cover.jpg
Neither works. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Do I need to change a setting within PS3 media server itself? -

I have never tried that myself. Did not know you could do that. Did you try the PS3 media forums?

Let us know if you ever get that to work...I would love to add that feature. -

I finally got it to work, sort of. It seems the cover jpg can't be any larger than about 350 x 500. I was using one that was about 450 x 550 for Black Hawk Down and coould not get it to work, but I tried Wall-E with one about 325 x 475 and presto!
Now I am trying to get Folders to show up with an icon.
But I got this to work:
F:/Black Hawk Down.vob
F:/Black Hawk Down.jpg
Also, I put all episodes of Band of Brothers in one folder
F:/Band of Brothers/Episode 01 - Curahee etc
F:/Band of Brothers/folder.jpg
In this case the file named "folder.jpg" is the thumbnail for band of brothers. Following the above causes all the individual episodes of Band of Brothers to show up with the same icon of the box set cover. However, when browsing the drive, the folder to Band of Brothers still shows up with that default video icon. I am trying to figure out how to get it to show the box set cover as well.
Now I just need to find the jpg for a couple hundered DVDs! -
I think you can set it to pull it right from amazon or something.. then you dont need to do anything

Not sure why, but the server is SUPER slow at serving up photos. I don't want to think about how slow it would be for movies or music. Just navigating to the folders with the files takes 10 + seconds per level.

I tried that and some other programs that do same thing and all were very sluggish, in terms of responsiveness, over my local Wi-Fi network (Apple Airport Extreme - single band "n" version with Gigabit ethernet).
I think I also remember reading that if you just add content to Windows Media Player Library on another computer in your network (obviously powered on and connected to network via ethernet or wi-fi), PS3 should recognize them.
