I am comparing buying used or wait until I win a bid for refurbs on Polk ebay. Does anyone know if there are any updates or changes over the last 6 years for the 15's. Found a set of 6 year old 15's purchased new by the current owner and they are probably in good shape per seller's description. Any suggestions on what to listen or look for during the demo? Lowest recent auction price on Polk ebay has been $544 plus tax and freight. What do you think is a good price to offer? Seller asking $750. Thanks for the input.

here is how I look at it. These are 1700.00 speakers. Granted used and 6 years old. If you can get them for 1/2 price, then you are doing extremely well.

To the best of my knowledge - I have had my LSI's for some time, is that the only change was very minor cabinet changes. i.e. angle of corners and glue tecniques.

These were very minor and you would have to pay attention to notice.

All the 15's at Polk Direct are BIN for $899... still basically half price, plus they have a warranty.

I'd start with $500 cash and go up from there. $700 is probably still a good price if they are in excellent working and cosmetic condition.

They also changed the shade of Cherry. I have 2 pair, one around 6 years old that is the lighter version, and another pair aound 2-3 years old that are darker, and nicer IMO.
