12 is a Q of .5
The thing I hate about PE is they are notorious for typo's in their specs. They do sell there Titanic 15" Mark III in a 3^3' sealed box.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

I do want to learn how to make bass boost circuits.

You can model the LT/box combo with WinISD as it already has that option. When you arrive at target response you then can calculate LT values with this utility.http://www.mh-audio.nl/Linkwitz/Transformation.asp
btw.I wish I had a few of those Titanics.Testing

That is awesome! What do you think about running them up to 200hz with the filter? I may run my speakers as 3 ways for music. The Titanic wouldn't be my first choice for this project, but I already had one. I would have most likely gone with 12's.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Ported sounds pretty good in a band-pass box. Most subs are nothing more than powerful bass speakers anyway, unless you spend mega bucks.

No doubt.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~

Not happy. I went the sealed stereo sub route. 15" Dayton's in each of my SDA's. I am only feeding them 400 watts of the 800 they can handle. The old sonosub single 15" went a little deeper. The stereo subs hit so hard and deep that I can't really enjoy my Cd's:( NIN makes me feel like I have motion sickness and I am not even moving. When the bass notes rise I feel like I am being pushed up and back in my seat. When the notes drop I feel like I am caught in the under tow of an outgoing tide. There is one song where the bass is very separated. My shoulders feel like they are being twisted to the right, and my hips feel like they are being twisted to the left. Having to put things back in place between tracks on the mantle is getting old. I may end up gluing the nick knacks where they belong. My favorite picture of Grandma had to be relocated. Also the subs have changed my personality. My friend Lightman traveled all the way from NC to visit us down here, and I accused him of sleep re arranging of the speakers. We woke up in the morning, and one of the speakers was pressed tight up against the wall. Later we figured out that the cabinets were walking up to an inch during a heavy bass note. Seriously these things are tight and insane. I love the very accurate deep tight thud of the bass drum. I still have some tweaking, but that is a never ending story.
