    CP-the user manual is for both the 805 and 875-you might have read the wrong spot. Although it is hard to find these specs clearly stated in the manual and online.

    805:
    HDMI upconversion of composite video, S-Video,
    and component video sources (720p capable)

    875:
    HDMI upconversion of composite video, S-Video,
    and component sources (720p, 1080i, 1080p capable)

    The above are strictly composite, S-Video, and component sources to the HDMI out. Doesn't appear to do any HDMI in to HDMI out upconverting. The HDMI in/out does however function as a v1.3 1080p compatible repeater. You could have misinterpreted that as well.

    If your TV does upconverting to 1080p as well then this really doesn't matter much anyway IMO.
