It doesn't matter what you are listening to, it matters what speakers you are using. LSis do better with an amp, RTis should be fine with your AVR as has been mentioned already -- for movies, tv, and music. -

Yeah, you can run both the A7's or the A9's without using an amp with your AVR. According to Pioneer's website the SC-05 puts out 130W per channel @ 8 ohms X 7. I'm sure as with any AVR that is a bit exaggerated, but will still not have a problem running the A7's or the A9's with it. It would help in the long run to get an external amp if you do get the 9's because they can handle up to 500W.HT Rig
