WOW. Very nice, and very clean.
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

That's a VERY nice tube amplifier and built in small quantities. If you want something cool, unique and above the rest...this is an outstanding choice. I hear some EARLY prototypes years ago and they were the balls.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

This economy sucks. Hang in there man, it's a great deal, but NOBODY is buying lately. I've seen some fantastic deals roll thru the FM lately.

I'd have to "find" a legitimate beef with my current amp---and I can't find one.

I still can't believe that someone hasn't "stolen" this amp from you yet.

Joe, that amp would make any of your speakers sing.

for just about one large with ship this is an absolute no brainer, quality EL-34, point to point wiring, Haimoc's losing big on this one, great price. This thing will crush the average sand amp we use around here.

    RT1--Tubes Rule.

That's what I'm afraid of... think it will work with the AR-90's?

Yes... I hope the recession was not this bad... This is a very good EL34 amp. The midrange is so beautiful.

OK.. I have just found another backup (new) set of driver tubes, so I will include them in the deal as well.. That means the deal comes with the amp, two sets of EL34s, and two sets of driver tubes...

FYI.. All sonic caps.. if you care.

Unique, great sounding amp at a steal price. What's difficult about that? ;)

I don't have answer to this question. If anyone knows, please help.
The amp drives my pair of ProAC 1.5 speakers (Sensitivity: 88db) fine.
The SDA speakers Efficiency is 90dB, so I assume the amp can do better (hopefully).

I should have clarified. The SDA's require common ground AMP. That is more the question, is the Dodd a common ground amp?

Honestly, I have no idea if it is a common ground amp... Is common ground a ground to chasis? If yes, then it is. Otherwise, again I am sorry not having answer to your question.

SDA Polk masters and seniors... could you please educate me to answer this question?... Thanks.. :)

Do you have a multimeter? Just check resistance between the two negative binding posts. If it reads 0 (or very few decimals) it's common ground.

Thanks, Ricardo. It is good to learn some thing new... I will get the meter and give it a try to measure it later this evening or tomorrow morning. Should I leave the amp on and in standby to measure it?

Dual mono design. Call Gary Dodd or see if you can raise RuSsMaN from the grave to see if the negative terminals can be strapped. If not, I'm pretty sure that the AI-1 interconnect is compatible with the 1Cs.
