Popping sound on center channel

Hi everyone
I am new to blue ray. I have watched and listened to the Dark Night, Goodfellas, numerous DVDs, without a problem on my blue ray player. Speakers have always sound fine.
I just purchased the blue ray combo editions of Sleeping Beauty (DTS HD) and Pinocchio (DTS HD Master Audio) . Problem is worse with Pinocchio. I am getting a popping sound coming intermittently on the center channel primarily during the singing scenes. Always on dialog/singing. I've switched speakers and the problem still occurs. The problem doesn't occur on the DVD versions of both movies. The problem also does not occur if I output the audio from the blue ray player through the TV via HDMI instead of the receiver. I never noticed any problems with the blue ray discs that used the Dolby Digital codecs.
So by switching speakers I seem to have eliminated the speaker as the problem. Could there be something about the DTS HD signal that the receiver can't handle the whole signal? This would seem odd considering the Dolby Digital codecs are processed fine.
Specs,
Sleeping Beauty outputs DTS HD
Pinocchio outputs DTS HD Master Audio.
Panasonic BD35 blue ray player
Sony STR DE925 receiver
Polk Audio RM6500 speaker system
Audio connected via digital optical to receiver.
Any help is appreciated

I dont know if this is the case but there was an issue at one time with some DTS tracks popping with some receivers / PrePros. I had a few Onkyo's that it happened to but Onkyo came out with a firmware update for it
check and see if there are any updates for your receiver
