And thats the reason why this guy is the Elite Guru, well said Dan. How's that 07 treating you? Agreed I think the 92 is a great piece and for the price Metal is offering its a steal.
I'm telling you now, If I didn't own the Sc-07 I would buy this myself and use it in my system. It's a great receiver and a nice preamp. I really wish Pioneer would make a theater preamp, I would be all over it.

Ahh yes the Sc-07, she is treating me with kindness and respect. She is loving and caring to my needs. I plan on a full review soon. I want to wait to I use the internal amps so I can comment on them as well. I could use my Installs as part of the review but I really want to spend more time in front of her(as well as behind her) before I give my review.

I got some good time in already and have formed many opinions.

Sorry to derail your thread man. Hope some of my and others advise helps you achieve the sonic abilities you are looking for in your system.

I looked at a few AVR. Just before Tweeter went out of businessI got a great deal on it and I believe it to be just as good as anything out there.

    The LSI's sound great

Sorry but some of the above posts are just far of the button IMHO.Unless you start moving into big receiver ground ie.160w per channel and up please dont tell me that its gonna sound better than a pre amped system with proper dedicated power amps! And if you cant hear the difference then may I suggest to first change your source if not that then your speakers:o.I have owned and still own many varieties of amps and receivers and if you want to emulate class A straight from the receiver or through the pre amps then IMHO Denon is the class leader!.Go have a listen at anything up from the 38 series the 43 series and the av1 and you then realize why they have racked the most awards out of all the manufacturers.Remember I am talking about pure stereo listening sound quality and its the only manufacturer that comes close to some of my class A equipment;)

Well thats a matter of opinion. I owned a full Rotel seperates system with a 330 watts per chanel amp into a 4 ohm load all channels driven from 20hz to 20khz and I will go on record to say I love Pioneer Elite receivers as a preamp. I find the sheer sound quality of a preamp to me unmatched by any receiver. I feel my Rotel preamp was slighty better for music using analog in and out but personally I went with a full digital system now and I could not be happier.

I prefer Pioneer Elite over Denon every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Not taking anything away from Denon as they do make good products when they work.

Sound is personal my man. No one including yu can tell anyone what to buy and why. We all can give our opinions based on experience. Actually it's the only advise I respect. You seem to really like Denon, cool man run with it. But thats doesn't mean it's for everybody.

Dan no where did I force my opinion on anybody.I did say IMHO.Further I try really to be objective and you will see if you read some of my other posts that in some classes I actually shot the Denon down and recommended Pioneer!I judge receivers by their stereo abilty...again thats not for everybody and I use class A dedicated audio equipment as a comparison ....again thats not for everyone.Take for example your Rotel equipment which is classAB a sound I dont like yet I have a friend who swears by it:)At the end of the day we have to use our own ears to judge what is right for us though I like sharing my opinion for those that think along my lines.....enjoy that Pioneer!!:D:D:D
