This is a heavy beast to ship, so it might help your search to either add your location to your profile so that it shows under your screen name, or add the information here.

I do actually have one myself, in the L.A. area, if that is convenient. It is in perfect condition and I will be selling it at some point since I have been planning to change my whole system. If it fits your needs, I can speed my project up a little so that you can have it now.

Since you have confirmed your interest via e-mail, here are the promised pix. It's in excellent shape overall (conservative 8/10 IMO), except for two things:

    - I replaced the tweeter with the SL6511 from Polk. I believe this is a silk tweeter, instead of the original tri-laminate (which is not available as a replacement). This cost about $50 (special club price from c/s: quite a big discount at this price, IIRC). I don't know why I bothered though, but the original tweeter had a mark on it and I decided to be stupid about it ... as usual. I didn't do any extensive listening tests (it's a bit hard to listen to a tweeter with any degree of precision) but I couldn't notice a difference between the old and new tweeters, so I'm sure I wasted my money.

    - As mentioned in our e-mail exchange, the grille, and top left front corner, got some rub damage, pictured below in the last picture. I bought a new grille, but you have indicated you prefer not to have it, so I'll sell that seperately.

It'll take me a while to pack this up, since I do not have the original carton (damaged in a typical SoCal garage flood) and will have to find the "right stuff" to make sure it reaches you in good condition, but I won't be able to give you a total price with shipping & insurance until I do.
    Alea jacta est!

If this deal falls through, PM me. I might be interested. A ship situation too (Albany, NY).

Sorry HB61, but the CS400 arrived in it's new home on Saturday! Thanks imimmortl for a perfect sale and transaction, I hope you'll enjoy the CS400 in that new theater you are building as much as I enjoyed it in my system. It really is just a great HT center channel IMO, but we've decided to go all ceiling speakers in our humble new, SoCal sized residence/hut/shack!

I'm not sure what your setup is HB61, but if you are running an RT(i) series system for HT, I would suggest a "no surrender" approach, so keep waiting if you can until another one comes up. Good Luck.

I'm selling my cs400. It is in near-perfect condition, no visible flaws to my knowledge. $180 plus actual shipping cost.
