well I got my Macbook Pro back finally today and everything is working great. It needed the entire top of the computer replaced as it's all intergraded. I'm very cool with that as it was only 480.00 to fix. So much better then dealing directly with Apple. This dealer is in New Hope, Pa and he just earned a customer for life. I was so pissed at Apple for the 1200.00 repair bill, but even this guy said the bottom in the joint where the screen connects did have liquid but they where able to clean in out and it should be fine for the rest of the laptops life. Cool stuff.

Picked up a copy of I life 09,

Back to being a happy Macbook Pro owner.

you should be upset at your kids, not Apple. Apple didn't wreck your laptop they are only trying to fix the problem that you asked them to. I had an estimate to fix a bad BGA on a video chip in a vintage ibook that easily exceeded the value of the ibook, the people at Apple actually pointed me to a repair place in Illinois that did the entire repair for $75 and warranty.

No, he should be mad at Apple, as they were trying to screw him. He took it elsewhere and got it fixed for 1/3 of the price apple was wanting.

Apple tried to replace the screen which as a huge part of the bill, The other Apple repair center tested it for a week and nothing wrong with the screen. they found some liquid remains at the joint where the laptop closes and opens but the cleaned it and found no damage. They replaced the keyboard which was beat. But ti comes with the entire top of the computer so it's all brand new again. I can't be happier.

I was mad at my kids but things happen so I wasn't to hard on them.
