PSW150 hum issue

Hi all....
I have a PSW 150 sub with what appears to be a blown driver. The actual symptoms include a low hum during all sound activity. Here are some other details:
-Hum occurs in both polar phases
-Hum occurs through all frequency ranges for sub
-Tried switching inputs
I discovered this problem when it was hooked up to a new receiver. A smaller Yamaha sub is now in its place and works fine (just not powerful enough).
Any ideas?? Thanks!

jf welcome to CP. It sounds like you may be dealing with a ground loop. Follow these links for a couple short reads on ground loops and how to get rid of them.

I had a similar problem.. I bought a ground loop isolator from Parts-Express.com (Recommended by Ken @ Polk) and it eliminated the problem... Best $10 I ever spentELITE VSX-99 REFERENCE
