EMF Question re: Speaker Placement

I am getting ready to install two LC265i"s for LF and RF in wall, and a center LCi-C below a 58" Plasma Pani800u HDTV.

I noticed that the LCi's have no EMF shielding, and I only have 35 " between the HDTV and walls. I can keep the Left and Right Front 265s a foot from the TV; however, they are close to the walls.

Should I ABSOLUTELY keep speakers 12" from PLasmaTV and use wall disctance switch, or can I move them closer, or use a light shield material to control EMF?

What kind of EMF is measured off the LCi's?

I have equipment to test EMF; however, I thought that you guys might know approx EMF levels and offer suggestions. I prewired for speakers, but have not cut out holes yet for speakers. I have not mounted HDTV yet either.

Thank you.

The direction the speakers face will play a big role. Typically, having the speakers pointing straight ahead(like a built-in TV speaker) is the best. So when you have to play with the 'toe-in', have the tv on and watch for any changes in the picture.

    Also, 12" should be enough.

I'm not sure how susceptible a plasma tv is to magnetic fields. I doubt it would be major, or even noticeable.

Unlike CRT's, Plasma's and LCD's are not affected by stray magnet fields from speakers.

Like GV said, plasma's and LCD's aren't affected by magnetic interference like CRT's are. You can put the speakers as close as you want to them, you'll be alright.
