Speaker Wire Hookup to Receiver Question

I prewired my basement walls/ceiling for in-wall Polk Speakers; however, I am not sure whether to pull wired directly to my receiver or use a panel with cable to receiver. I suspect less loss/issues with direct method.

Does anyone have an opinion regarding best wiring method?

jgrog, welcome to CP. I've always felt the fewer connections the better as you stated. But in this case I would go with a wall panel and banana plugs on both ends. If you have the correct gauge wire for the runs I do not believe there will be enough signal loss to worry about.

This is just my opinion and preference for a cleaner look and ease of connecting/disconnecting for troubleshooting, cleaning etc.

I like direct. I would just make sure that the box in the wall accepts the proper plate for the future. If/when you sell the house it looks better to the prospective buyer if it is neat.

Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
