For every transaction on the Club Polk Flea Market where someone got taken....there are probably 1,000 good ones. Much better odds than e-bay or craigslist IMO.

On a different note, I say ban his **** as well. This kind of crap has no place here.
Agreed! This is not good for Polk and the forum members as a whole! As a Canadian, I've seen some great deals going through this site even as a short timer and it would be very unfortunate that the thousans of good deals stops due to the few lost scum bucket that abuses the goodness and trust of the members.

You know, I've read many of you on the site and in the long run it becomes a family (i've experienced that my self on other forums), some of you are familiar and become gret friends. Seems like Maurice missed a good chance here having people possibly backing him up and potentially providing him some form of support/confort.

schwarcw, remind me to always stay on your good side ;)

    Cheers ;)

No I didn't test it. I was waiting for the speakers to arrive... duh... and just got tired of holding onto the AVR so I gave it to him.

Sorry about that. It looked purdy though :D He has it hooked up to a center channel and it appears to work great. Ha. ha. ahem... that is sad just typing it.

Well maybe the dirtbag will grow a conscience and get you the speakers eventually. I'm really sorry to hear about this. It just really shines a bad light on the forum. I'm just glad so many people here are NOT like these few.

Agreed! I personnally followed the sale and felt pretty bad for the guy like many and seen the end result... People felt for him, encouraged him and even trusted him. The end result is sufficient for me, I don't need to know more about the guy. I simply feel for the ones that trusted him and were willing to help him and are left behind with his gratefull thanks!

I resemble that remark as I have not been here very long but I have gone through a divorce before and sometimes things can get very ugly, very fast. Noone really knows what is happening with Maurice, anything is possible. I would suggest that it is very possible he will be good to his word and the items will be sent to the rightfull owner.

    I hope things work out.

I've done divorce. Ugly divorce. I've done job loss. Bankruptcy. I've done drug addiction. I've done death of loved ones. None of these life altering events made me take someone's money on my word to deliver something (anything) and caused me to rip them off.

right.. I got boned by him with a defective receiver and PP just advised

"Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
    refund."

figures. I did not have high hopes with PP. now I go to my credit card company and see how they handle it.

so, I guess as long as you ship something, PP does not care what and the quality of it.
