Hi there. My 4-year old AMR-70 3-piece system recently stopped working out of the blue. I was listening to music and then I noticed it wasn't playing and the light on the sub-woofer was no longer turned on. I unplugged, replugged, rebooted, tried everything. Is it possible for a sub-woofer to suddenly burn out? How do I identify the problem?

Not 100% sure, just a shot in the dark but assuming since they are computer speakers it doesn't have a fuse? If it did, I would check there and see if that was the culprit, other than that I got nothing, sorry. Hopefully one of the real experts may have a better idea, and welcome to Club Polk.

    Hello,
Thanks for posting on the Forum, I'm sorry your AMR-70 has stopped working. Unfortunately that series of speaker was designed to be replaced, when necessary, as opposed to being repaired. From your description I would imagine the amplifier that is located in the sub-woofer has failed. I'm afraid we no longer have any of those units for replacment. Would you be able to use the SurroundBar SDA Intanat Home Theater we show on the web site. It can become an excellent computer speaker system. Give me a call at 1-800-377-7655 if this is of interest.
    Regards, Ken
