Nice read.... but when i saw Afforadable in the title i wasn't expecting to see $1000 speaker wires.
Whats the point of a $700 power cord that comes out of a standard wall socket anyway?KEF Q150 | Rythmik F12 | Yamaha Aventage RX-A780 -

You refering to DarqueKnight's 2 ch rig on the front cover?Without music to decorate it, time is just a bunch of boring production deadlines or dates by which bills must be paid. ..... Frank Zappa -

The speaker wire was $1950, the interconnects were $975. Hardly "affordable" IMO no matter how you slice it.
All though truth be told I completly lost interest after the review of the shorting plugs that cost $25+ per plug. Cmon now $225 for a pack of 8 shorting plugs? I bought 50 for $25 last year.
Oh well. I promise not to comment anymore about the mag Marc, here or on Audiocircle. Good luck with it. -

Fair point, but the Acoustic Revive cables were one of several reviews of this company's complete accessory lineup. I allow my writers a great deal of latitude, after all, it's an all-volunteer effort. Plus, in five years that 1K cable may be just $200 on the used market, and we have a significant portion of our readers who are second-hand only buyers.
Thanks for reading,

The monoliths are mad because they didn't get proper notification
about being featured on a magazine cover. They say they want their
oak end caps and side panels replaced with a rare, exotic wood
before they agree to go on the cover of Rolling Stone.

I wonder how a updated monitor 5jr would fair in the comparison ...
