I'm with George Grand and F1nut. I just wish the girl scout meeting feeling had some cookies to go with it.

I agree. There's nothing like a newbie bashing or a wire "discussion" to boost the entertainment value of the forum.

    1. 5 years.
    2. 5000 posts.
    3. Attendance at at least 2 Polkfests
    OR
3a. 1 Polkfest where you demonstrate how to fertilize a potted plant
with tequila-laced vomit while singing, "I Got a Girl in Kalamazoo".

    ..... well, that's a few.

6/25/2004 here (if the stats are to be believed)... although I think I first joined the Polk club in 1978 when I bought my 7As.

Hm, sorry, I hadn't realized you had to be here for over two years to notice when the general mood of the forum changes.;)

In general, you remind me of a thought provoking story I once heard, it goes something like this - There's two bulls, one old and one young, on a hill overlooking a valley with several heifers below. The young one says to the old one "Hey! Let's run down that hill and nail on of those heifers". The old one says "you do that, I'll be along shortly and nail them all".

Not exactly sure what the moral of that story is, but I can surmise that it has something to do with ambition getting in the way of the final goal. In other words, some people post 10 times a day for 1 year and some post once a day for 5 and say a whole lot more...

Ok...interesting story. I don't see what that has to do with my apparent inability to notice when the mood of the forums changes though. Just because I haven't been here for over 2 years doesn't mean that I'm any less likely to notice when things calm down, and when they get busier.;)

I don't think I'm the only person on here that ever posts anything off topic. Basically every member on here posts a bunch of nonsense that has nothing to do with the topic at hand some of the time. That's part of the internet. Some people don't post a lot, and only do when they have something important, or relevant to add. Most of the forum regulars post their fair share of off-topic stuff as well.

Yes...that's very true, and basically the same thing that I just said..;) As I said, I am by no means the only person that posts anything off topic. With all of the posts about pie, assless chaps, tickle my Emo...yeah...there are a few off topic posts on here. I would say that a good portion of the posts on this entire message board are off topic actually.

That's what the Clubhouse section of the forum is for. Posting things that aren't necessarily related to audio equipment. Not to say that things never get off topic in other sections though of course.

:D Yeah but the major difference is that Brett is a nice, considerate human being. Whereas Manny is an egotistical, self centered jerk!
