I have been searching for the right deal to jump on for a new set of towers to replace my Rti8s. I finally found a pair of Dynaudio Audience 70's locally. I listened to them before buying them and fell in love.. Although when I got home and set them up, I dont think they match up with my emotiva xpa3 as well as they did with the integrated audiolab that the previous owner was using. But still are leap and bounds above the Polk RTI8s compared with music. With movies though they dont match that well with my center channel. They are alot more laid back and my Csi3 is extremely bright. Now I know the meaning of bright! lol

Also in the bass department they blow the Rti8 out of the water.. Its funny that by looking at them side by side the Rti8s cabinet is alot bigger but the sound is alot smaller..
But I cant wait to get home from work and play around with the setup and make some magic happen!!!

I've read a lot of reviews and post about Dynaudio owners raving about their speakers--guess the next stage is actually hearing some.

I have no doubt they're a great speaker as they're often used by professional reviewers to assess the performance of various electronics?

They also look nice! Please do give us an update on your listening.

Welcome to the Dynaudio family! I started with Polk Monitor 70's then Rti10's then my current Danes. These speakers have triggered me to upgrade all my other gear to keep up with the level of resolution the speakers offer. Post some pics!

    Congrads on your purchase.

The Audience 70's are fantastic musical speakers. I really love the way they hold themselves. There soundstage is wide and deep. With the right power, they will open up.
I never listened to Emotiva gear so I can't comment on there products but Rotel goes very well with Dynaudio. They make magic together. They make for a very long listening with no fatigue. Speaker wire and Ic's are now a issue as well. The 70's will tell you how good or bad all your gear is.
I have owned Dynaudio speakers for years and loved every second of it. I still do today. Last night I sat down and listened to Dianna Krall and I could have swore she came over and sang to me. Unbelievable musical abilities.

Good luck with them, and yeah I want pic's. What color are they?

They are black in color, and im using audioquest type-4 speaker wire, onkyo 805 and emotiva xpa-3 connected with bens ic's. When I first demoed these speakers they sounded alot more relaxed. They were run with a integrated audiolab. Now they seem more in your face, but still smoother than the rti8s by a mile. They are alot better with all types of music than my rti8s were. Rti8s only shined with acoustic music, anything with distortion they were not that enjoyable.
I listened to them for a few hours last night and they are amazing..
How do I post pics here??? I have some but dont have a URL of my image to post them...

Its your Onkyo receiver that sounds forward and in my opinion terrible. You should get a better preamp non integra or onkyo, then you will get back the beautiful sound you are missing.

My thoughts exactly. A nice tube pre would give your system a significant improvment.
