Rotel seperates

Whats up all?
with my upgade includes new electronics so the Rotel gotta go. I have the Rsp1068 preamp and the RMB1095 5 channel amp. These are in excellent condition and the preamp has been to Rotel for the last software upgrade. It also went in for a new digital board as it failed a few years ago.
I'd like to get 2000.00 for the pair.

RMB1095 1400.00
Rsp1068 600.00

These are silver face plates.

Thanks for looking. I will not sell the amp until the preamp is gone. I have no use for the preamp but I could reuse the amp is only the preamp sells. I have orignal double boxes, manuals and the preamp remote was only used once to try it out. I always use a Univeral remote.

I'm taking offers on both. I will take a considerable offer on the preamp. I really want to move that. If it goes then I will also take a reasonable offer on the mighty RMB1095.

    Take advantage of me ,

    Dan,

Trying to find out if preamps offer HD audio, THX, audyssey, etc. I have a post going since I may be purchasing Lsi 15's or 9's. Understand you want to sell, but wondering if I would notice much of a difference between an AVR with a supplemental amp versus a fully separate config. Since I will have to stagger my purchases, I would like to get started with an AVR kept at low volume so I can use my new speakers. Think that would be ok with the 15's.

    Good luck with your sale...

Right now it's a complete pain in the **** to buy just a preamp if you have needs like THX, Audyssey , HD audio and all that good stuff. There are few few on the market today and even less that I'm into.
My Rotel preamp is not any of the above. But it's one hell of a 2 channel audio and 5 to 7 channel theater preamp. if you had a Blu ray player with internal decoding and 6 channel out, you would have one hell of a setup. Add the amp and your 15's are in heaven. The Lsi series requires power, read around this forum and you will learn that quickly. My Rotel RMB1095 will power them well and to there potential.
Good luck with what every you do and if you want to try out seperates, this is a good deal to try.

Price reduce as someone is interested in the amp. I will ship the preamp to anyone in the USA for 500.00. This includes the original double boxes , Remote which I only used once to try out and the manual. I also have the software upgrade cable so if they release another firmware , you can download it.

HOLY COW great prices on this stuff. Rotel really builds high quality stuff and it's a nice look for those of us that aren't huge fans of the flashy gear that abounds nowadays. This is one of those SECURE buys that even if you just wanted to try it, you could easily turn around and make it all back if you didn't like it. I wish this RSP-1068 would have been here before I bought my Onkyo 805. Damn.

Thats a shame as I live right outside of Phila. You could have come here and tested the system out before you purchased it.
You also could sell the Onkyo and get into seperates. For what it does, it's very impressive. The 2 channel performance is amazing. I really love it for that. It's why I went with it and "IT'S ROTEL" LOL.

Last chance before I move them to the Gone and Ebay.

Make me an offer I can't refuse and one or both are yours. New gear coming in so I have to move them. The preamp more then the amp as if the amp doesn't sell, I'm keeping it.

I've heard nothing but great things about Rotels gear. I'm pretty much set on getting the RMB-1095 for my HT setup at this point. Unfortunately though, I can't hook up external amps to my Onkyo 606...so that has to get upgraded first. I'm still deciding whether to get a different AVR with pre-outs, or if I just want to wait until I can afford both a pre-pro and the 1095.

Do you have any experience with the RB-1090? When I upgrade my setup to 7.1 in the future, I was thinking about getting a 1090 to power a pair of RTi A9's for the front channels, along with the 1095 powering the center and surrounds/surround backs.

Just get a 1095 and 1080 will save you about $600. I ran my rti a9's off my 1095 and the 200 watts were plenty.

I can definitely tell you that would be a sweet setup, but I wouldn't think the A9's would be able to articulate the differences between the 1090 and the 1095. The fact that the A9's are fairly efficient means that a 1095 would probably drive everything fine. If you did 7.1, you could probably save $500 and go with a 1080 for the fronts and 1095 for the rest. But the 1090 is badass.

The 1080 is what I was originally considering for powering the fronts, until I discovered the 1090. I'm still on the fence on that choice though. The 1090 is so tempting with it's 380 watts per channel...

I'm sure the 1080 and the 1095 would match up very well though, since they're essentially the same amp, just in 2 ch. and 5 ch. versions.

The 1080 may be the route that I end up going, time will tell though. Maybe I'll get the 1080, and upgrade to the 1090 sometime farther down the line.

I still have quite a way to go before I'm ready for amps for the HT though. I've gotta get a pre-pro first so that I actually have something to hook an amp up to...lol I'm thinking either the Marantz AV-8003 or the OnkyoPro PR-SC886p as far as the pre-pro goes. That choice is still up in the air too.

Sorry about the thread jack Dan! I didn't mean to.:)

The rb1090 and thre RMB1095 are the same size. They both are beasts. I don't however see the need for the RB1090. Maybe for 2 channel but not theater. The RB1080 is a perfect match to the RMB1095 if used in a 7 channel setup. This amp is powerful and clear. It's never even broken a sweat running my really hard to drive Dynaudio 4 ohm load 86 db theater system. it's muscles right threw them. For the asking retail price when new, this amp is a steal.
