Wow, those guys sell a lot of stuff; expensive stuff. I am surprised to see they suck at packing, and even worst, won't man up.

I think so,, anyway, he seems to take no responsibility for his packing clowns, it'll come back to him,,sooner or later.

    Did you say bubble wrap??!!??

It's definitely a time for negative feedback. There's no excuse for such a poor packing job. The new management must be trying to save money, but it's gonna cost them more in the long run.

Wasn't JB, the "Audio Pimp" or some such off putting, no-confidence-inspiring name? From what I read from a post regarding them, the "Pimp" side is no more, and the used seller gone with it. The new dealer is mostly on the new side.

That packing job is atrocious for a NOVICE, completely derelict of any responsible business practice, and borders on intentional destruction of property. I'd slam the hell out the boards that allow you to edit out your comments --should he decide to do the right thing. Send him a list of links to bad reviews/reports, and see if he doesn't reconsider. It's really the principle, . . . douchebag!

Well guy's don't spread this around,, but I took them over to my brothers,,fired em' up with his dreadnoughted 2.3 tl's,,put on some Judy Collins "diamonds and rust",,, and I almost cried,,yep it's nostalgic,,emotional,,and a song that I can relate to(I'm an old hippie),, but there is something about EL-34's that brings magic,, midrange was very sweet, great bass, and the detail was just amazing. Now,,somebody buy those Odyssey's,,cause I'm gettin' mo tubes.

Well, I guess it's off to put them on every bad sellers list I know. Way for them to man up for a bad pack job. They should have known better.

That's alright, once they make the bad sellers list, they will not be removed. They have my word on that!

I'm tearing down the rig as I speak! I can't wait. Gonna reconfigure the entire thing and hook up the 1C's that have been sitting here for so long. :D

I'll hold off on the bad sellers lists for now.......all you have to do is say the word George and they'll be on it. ;)

Why not just notify your credit card company? A chargeback will definitely make them more willing to take care of it.

The Audio Pimp simply changed names. The new business name is MSS HiFi with the same owner now selling new as well as used gear.

Sorry guys. Trying to get Jerry's, and my SDA's together before the get together has taken a toll on me:( Too much Poly fumes??? The get together is the 28th. Today(yesterday) was my X's B day, and I lost one of my uncles to cancer 6:10pm to lung cancer. Lately has been a **** shower. Grandma hasn't been doing very good either. Not up to snuff here fellas. Just watched Million Dollar Baby. That certainly didn't help. Life is suck lately.

They may have changed names but the service/representation of this company has not seemed to be changed. Not a place I would do business with, I know a couple members here with issues besides this.

I believe this company displays an attitude of "just get it out the door" sales tatics and then "we will worry about it later".

    Sorry you got nipped George.

Ironic,, but on Fen 23,, I started this post,,, today (5-23) I picked these up from Benny@ Modular Electronics, in Roswell, Georgia,, a northern suburb of Atlanta. It seems like an eternity has passed since I first opened the shipping boxes and saw the broken power switch and scarred faceplate,,after dropping them off,,I learned that most of the bias pots,,caps, and other little electronis gizmos had to be replaced,,Benny was very upbeat and seemed to be excited about these,as he used to own a pair(he musta' been very familar with them,as I took them in without the faceplates, and he knew exactly what they were), he took his time,, called me, asked me what kind/type speakers would I be driving, driver size etc.He threw out the option of modding them to run with 6L6's,,, about a week ago he called and said they ere ready.I asked him how did they sound, and he told me that previously,I had been listening to high quality distortion,, today, he took me into his listening area,, tubes galore,, sofa,,turntable, extremely comfortable,,there were the VTL's,sitting in the floor,,ready to start the show.As my wife and I sat there,, Benny stood off to my right,, like the Captain of a ship,,for the next 20 minutes,,I smiled, laughed, almost cried and experienced multiple "eargasms",, those were my puppies on the floor puttin' on a show for us,,obivously Benny was proud of his work,, damn right,, he should be,, this man has golden hands,, and rightfully so,, he is the tube guy of Georgia,, , he is kind, honest and straight to the point,,and polite. When it was time to pay for his services,, it was very Reasonable,,actually,, I expected more,, and would have been willing to do so. How do they sound? Soundstage,,wide,,deep, instrument placement is outstanding, vocals are smooth,, it's like you are sitting center stage,,just a few rows back,,Perfect for my tastes. He also builds/makes custom pre-amps,with or without phono,,,jawdropping good. So now the mono's are back home, and I'm enjoying sitting just a few rows back ;)

Thank you,and God Bless, life is good,, sorry for the long post, just wanted to share this experience---george
