This one strays................he will be properly admonished. :D.

Actually I think it's a good deal and we all have to be a little bit crazy in this hobby. :p

Ted, he's serious about the purchase and he's solid.

    Doug-

For as much as these things cost to ship, I'm trying to figure out how I can drive down south to pick them up! Additionally, it would be fun to see Ted's woodshed setup!

It would be well worth the trip. I'd take a couple off....maybe one for a longer weekend. Just be aware that you will hear banjos playing as you arrive.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Ricardo-

The Monarchy monos are already sold! Rob from our last audio get together liked them so much that he put an offer in on them as soon as I told him I was buying these BATs.

Thanks Dave. I am really looking forward to taking delivery on them. I am also trying to get my hands on a pair of Revel Studios. Between the amp and the speakers, I've blown my audio budget for the next decade!

What can I say? I just sent him am email practically begging him to find me a pair of Studios, Studios 2s, Salons, or Salon 2s for $5k. I have an outside chance of getting a pair of Studio 2s at that price if he has some demos available. Otherwise I can pick up the original Studios on Audiogon for about that money shipped.

    We'll see...

It was definitely a bit of an impulse purchase, but I have a lot of gear to sell and the fact that Rob is buying my Monarchy monos and my Monarchy NM24 tube pre/dac makes the decision much easier. I have another 6 or 7 items to sell that I'll probably put up in the FM in the next few days as well.

Thanks for all the congrats. All I can say is that it's been a pleasure dealing with Ted. We had quite a chat on the phone today and not only is he knowledgeable and fair, he's a helluva nice guy. I wish everyone that I bought gear from was this pleasant!

Looking forward to getting these in my hot little hands!

It was a pleasure speaking with you Blake and I am glad these are staying in the Club.
If you want to come down and get them you are more than welcome, there are many audio things left to enjoy in the house. The BAT's are quite large amps that ship at 100 lbs. each. So the boxes are large.

These are definetely big boy toys. I can raise the temp in the Shed 10 degrees if I leave them on their own. Should make for some cozy listening sessions during the cold months in N. Illinois.

Yes you will notice the banjo's, however, those are just pigs you hear squealing, honest........

most importantly Paypal received no money from this sale.

    So.......

    Tubes Rule
    paypal sucks
    Balanced Trumps Unbalanced
    Club Polk Rocks

    That is all......................

Finally helped Blake get these set-up last night for some demoing, so I finally got my ears on these. All I can say is very, very impressive both looking and sounding. These will probably be the last amps anyone should need........well except for Ted :D.

Blake's system is partly torn down and partly new pieces in transit since he is moving soon. So we hauled these to a friends house (I couldn't use them because of my SDA's and the common ground issue), unpacked them and hooked them into his system which now consists of most of Blake's old system.

We wanted to hear them and make sure they had no shipping damage issues. So they are now parked at the friends house (back in the boxes) until the move. :(.

I think he made a great decision to purchase these at a great price.
