Good movie. It's somewhere between a drama and a low action flick. Good script. Good execution. A cerebral movie that would have done better if it was released in the 70's. Nothing earth shattering but suspenseful (international intrigue is probably a better description) and a good popcorn flick. I thought it was better than Clive's other cerebral flick - Children of Men.
Not many folks in the theatre. The screen next door had many more people exiting, mostly kids, watching Friday the 13th. Unfortunately, I think this good flick will fade quickly and go straight to rental/DVD/Blu-ray.
Check it out but you must pay attention to the dialogue. If you're looking for escapism, look elsewhere.

Just watched this movie:
It's acceptable, but don't expect too much. It's not a major flop, by any means, but it isn't anything special either. It's a bit like a diluted bond with not much to rescue it from mediocrity. I'd rate it 3/5, which is more or less where it's ratings are from Netflix renters, and I wouldn't bother buying it.
Still worth watching though, with a glass of wine and some nice cheese in good company to make it more worth your while. If you haven't seen it, by all means: rent it IMO, .
Here's a link to the Lo WhatsYerName BluRay thread for further comments. Some of them are bit more negative than the situation calls for IMO, but that may have something to do with the thread itself too.

Edit: Here's a link to the wikipedia page, with some interesting further reading, including some of the critical remarks from the press. I'd guess it's a lot shorter than the "main" review in that other thread ...

I like the movie, but I think it has pacing problems. That said, I do own it on Blu-ray... and it's worth having just for the Guggenheim shootout. It's also one of the best looking transfers on Blu-ray, despite what LoMarloweco said in his review. Absolutely stunning video quality.Equipment list:

Like I stated already: I would rent it, but don't expect it to blow your socks off (other than those Blu-Ray specific aspects that you mentioned, which I have not experienced due to the technical limitations of my current equipment).Alea jacta est! -
It's an interesting movie albeit an average one.
I did like it though and have it on SD DVD.
